Bulletproof vehicles offer optimum protection against attacks and are an indispensable security solution for people at risk. Security vehicles manufactured in Germany are characterised by state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality standards.
Protection classes and ballistic resistance
The protection classes are based on the international standard VPAM (Association of Test Centres for Anti-Attack Materials and Constructions). The most common protection classes for vehicles range from VR4 (protection against handguns, e.g. 9 mm) to VR10 (protection against rifles with hard-core ammunition, e.g. 7.62 mm AP).
VR4 – VR6: Protection against light and medium threats (pistols, light rifles).
VR7 – VR10: Maximum protection against heavy weapons, including machine guns and hard-core ammunition.
Features of bulletproof vehicles
Armoured glass: Multi-layer glass with polycarbonate coating that effectively stops bullets. Reinforced bodywork: Armoured steel and composite materials provide comprehensive protection without compromising driving dynamics. Additional safety features: Run-flat tyres, emergency exit systems and armoured vehicle floors ensure maximum protection.
